Hi blog,
I for one, was pushed to the limit today, a physical limit. Many have talked about pushing past your limit like it was easy as 3.142 (catch the pun?). In fact, I have pushed past my limit so hard that I remember the trauma that I had during my conscription... aka army days.
I had to take my annual fitness test and am under-nourished and lack rest. Imagine having instant noodles for your past two meals and only two hours of sleep after work before your fitness test.
I had to conquer 6 laps (stadium standard, 400m) total 2.4km. I was doing fine up til the 4th round, which my stamina and energy was bled dry by then. The last two rounds? It was literally the limit. Have you tried pushing so hard that your body tells you to f**k off? Well not in that sense but pushing so hard that you know you have to do it, yet it's so painful that you're almost crying.
I did a route march before and literally cried... well it wasn't exactly a route march, it was a training mission and I had the heaviest load amongst the group.
Which sometimes make me think how much bullsh*t it is when people talk of pushing their limit.
F**k that.
