Been working for more than 3 months already... I was starting to get more and more work... So yesterday I emailed my boss about whether I can reduce my customer service time because got some other work to do. His email reply was "No, customer support is YOUR priority."
I got quite upset at that the entire day... I mean, it's like... all 9 hours? What about my break? Doesn't mean that I work in the night means no lunch no dinner... Naturally I was starting to steam with anger I mean... I'm human, no lunch no dinner just because I'm night shift??? I'm not undead -_-'''
And I wanted to ride out to buy MacDonalds for food, cause the nearest place to get food is a 24hrs Indian food stall... The food not really that fantastic and is more expensive than the coffeeshop at my place. Then I looked at the time, 3.54am... F**k... breakfast menu by the time I got there, last order is 3.45am...
So I just do work... until 5.30am I went to toast some bread (I have bread in the office) for my pre -work out carbohydrate... Supposed to eat one hour before at 5am but work work work... 5.30am then went to toast bread... Eat bread while working until 6.44am, was supposed to have a break at 6am, now become 6.44am.. Anyway I did my exercise for the day, went to brush teeth, wash face and put moisturizing cream.
From there, continue work til about 8+ near 9... Was supposed to do some other work but because of what my boss said... I continued to do the customer service work instead of sales... So when he came in I sort of frowned and stuff....
Then I worked til about near 10... supposed to off work at 9... So my other colleague came in and ask if got anything needed help during my shift so I talked about some work... He then told me that those work should be handled by the other colleague instead as it was the other departments' job scope to handle. So with that, I sat down and started to shoot emails (haha) to pass the work to the correct department...
With that.... I was clearing what I needed to push back and sort of have a revelation... That was what my boss was talking about in the email!!! "Customer support is YOUR priority" which means I have been touching other people's job scope and I only realized that today... No wonderr I always have work that cannot clear even though I work hard...
Turns out that I'm still a newbie at working :D
And I've wronged my boss.. He 'Yong Xin Liang Ku'. So now I feel like my email to my boss was abit of self-bashing... Anyway with my things cleared up, I know what to do now... Things that are my job scope is my priority, don't go do other peoples' work.
And on the way back, I noticed Kaelyn is abit dirty... The speedometer like got dirt marks, must be some bugger go and touch... And got 2 bird shit stains... Damn birds... I need a bike cover, or to park under lots without trees...
Gotta go sleep and work hard again tonight... So catch you again my dear blog!
